Sweet and Sour Chicken

Sweet and Sour Chicken - this probably one of David's favorite dinners!!! we serve it over rice! And our favorite these days is Brown rice!!!

chicken cooked and cubed
onion
green pepper (optional, I usually don’t use them)
1 ½ c. hot water
¾ c. vinegar
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. corn starch
1 TBL. Soy sauce
1 can pineapple chunksCook chicken to taste in frying pan. Add onion and green pepper. Add water, vinegar, and pineapple juice. Combine brown sugar and corn starch. Add to other ingredients. Add soy sauce and pineapple chunks. Let simmer 20 minutes to thicken

Yay!!! I love this recipe...Van and I have it almost weekly. I like to add celery instead of green peppers. I'm so glad you posted it!!

I have a similar recipe, only mine has you coating the chicken in cornstarch before frying to give the chicken a breaded outside. Our friend adds red pepper flakes because it gives it a little extra kick. I LOVE sweet and sour chicken!
